I recently acquired a 1951 Chevrolet 6100 missing its engine and would like to refurbish it. However, Instead of putting in the original engine (Chevrolet 235) I am looking for an engine that came out in the next 10-15 years to put in my truck that will out put 200+ horsepower without being out of touch with the truck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Im looking for help with my 2007 gmc sierra 1500 classic pick up truck, I started to feel a weird vibrating light howl or humming in which I think its coming from the drive train. When Im driving on a 50km speed limit road I noticed it, when I give it light gas it does it but when I let off the gas it goes away.. Any ideas what this could be ?? Thanks -
All, I have recently noticed a noise coming from the drivetrain that sounds like crickets. It happens from about 10mph to 30mph. It may happen at faster speeds but I cannot hear it due to road noise. It does not appear to be brakes or engine. Anyone have any ideas?
