General Motors is upgrading Super Cruise hardware modules that process mapping on 1,141 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1 Pickups.

GM has released two Customer Satisfaction programs, “N232396990 – Super Cruise Map Enhancements.” and “N232396991 – Super Cruise Map Enhancements.”  The recall program will replace one or two key Super Cruise hardware pieces installed in the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV that may inadvertently allow the Super Cruise Map data to become out of date. The replacement modules will also enable the HUMMER EV to take advantage of recent road additions to Super Cruise, including new non-divided (two-lane) roads.

Program N232396990 covers (939) 2022 HUMMER EV Pickups and will replace two key modules related to mapping.
1 MODULE, AUTOMATED DRIVING MAPPING 85610354
1 MODULE, SERIAL DATA GATEWAY 13551131

Program N232396991 covers (202) 2022 HUMMER EV Pickups and will replace only one of the two modules detailed in the other program.
1 MODULE, AUTOMATED DRIVING MAPPING 85610354

It is not clear why some vehicles need two modules replaced, and some need one.

Altogether, 1,141 HUMMER EVs will be affected out of a potential 1,200 vehicles. Owners of a 2022 HUMMER EV can check with their dealership to see if they own a truck that needs a Super Cruise Module upgraded.

The repairs will be covered under warranty, and owners will have use of a courtesy vehicle while their HUMMER EV Pickup is in to have the work performed.
