The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado has been caught on film again. We’ve previously published photos of the 2022 Silverado and 2022 GMC Sierra. This time, a 2022 Silverado Trail Boss was photographed at an undisclosed location by our spy photographer.
We’ve recently captured photos of the 2022 Sierra and a hybrid 2022 Sierra/Silverado in the last few weeks. This is our first look at a very obviously Silverado with Trail Boss style mods.
Our photographer reports:
We caught a prototype for the 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss, verifying that the off-road-focused trim will soldier on and benefit from the truck’s mid-cycle facelift.
The aggressive stance and elevated ride-height, along with the red tow hooks seen behind the front-end camo, signal this as the revamped 2022 Trail Boss. The prototype truck shows off a new wheel design—different from the open-spoke five-star wheel that serves as the only available wheel design (in 18” and 20” sizes), with different finish options. The new wheels are of a six-spoke design, with new polished detailing.
New interior appointments are reportedly a major focus of the 2022 facelift, to address the shortcomings compared to its Ram and F-150 competitors.
