Earlier this month we reported on a General Motors Technical Service Bulletin that detailed a “No Start / Long Crank” condition affecting a long list of GM products. Recently, the 2021 Silverado and Sierra, both light duty and heavy duty variations, were added to the list.

If you didn’t see our article on the original TSB, check it out here.

Technical Service Bulletin: #20-NA-218 covers a condition where owners of affected vehicle models may experience a no-start or unusually long crank condition during start. Technicians may also find that DTC (trouble code) P12A6 may also be set after this occurs.

This update to the TSB indicates that other codes may occur during the “No Start / Long Crank” condition and include: P00C6, P00F4, P2199, and/or P0096.

If you think your truck is affected by this TSB, please contact your dealership for help.
