The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS, Chevrolet’s fastest SS model to date, will serve as the official pace car for the 67th Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Blazer EV SS: Performance and Features

The Blazer EV SS, set to hit dealerships later this quarter, is equipped with Chevrolet’s Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode, enabling 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.4 seconds. Under the hood, it delivers 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle pacing the Daytona 500 will be a production-spec model, featuring only custom graphics and embedded strobe lighting for its track duties.

Other key features of the Blazer EV SS include:

  • Brembo front brakes for enhanced stopping power
  • Sport-tuned chassis for improved handling
  • 17.7-inch diagonal color touchscreen, the largest in its class
  • Super Cruise driver assistance technology, standard on the SS trim
  • EPA-estimated 303-mile range on a full charge

This marks the first time a Blazer has served as the Daytona 500 pace car, the first-ever EV to lead the race, and Chevrolet’s 16th time pacing the Daytona 500.

Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype

Ahead of the Daytona 500, Chevrolet will unveil the Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype, a collaborative effort between NASCAR and OEM partners designed to explore the future of electrified racing technologies.

Chevrolet Pace Vehicles for Daytona Speedweek

In addition to the Blazer EV SS leading the Daytona 500, Chevrolet will pace both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series races that weekend:

  • Corvette Stingray – Pace car for the Xfinity Series United Rentals 300 on Saturday, February 15
  • Chevrolet Silverado RST – Pace vehicle for the Craftsman Truck Series Fresh From Florida 250 on Friday, February 14
