  1. There is nothing to think about. $10 Million dollar GM engineering department certainly knows what the problem is. No doubt about it. What is baffling why they don't issue a conclusive TSB. My guess: the body style probably needs a redesign to eliminate the problem. And a redesign for these trucks is too early, & too costly. They would need to retool the entire production line, and the model is only 3 years old now, and they usually run models 8 years before a redesign.
  2. There are 10 zillion of these trucks on the used car market. Obviously there is a serious problem, and GM doesn't seem to care. I see them at Infinity dealers, Audi dealers; used, low miles, like new. So move on, get something else, because there is no cure. Only band-aids. And to the guy who had 2 brought back, and then you brought a 3rd...... shame on you. I love GM, and it's the only cars I own, but I would never by a 2015-2017 GM truck due to this. Let common sense prevail. Me personally, I brought a clean 2014 with 30,000 miles. Because I'm tried of reading about this.
  3. Considering the 2017's will be rolling onto dealer lots very very soon. Nothing is probably fixed, or redesigned....
  4. 1 year later, actually many many years. This tranny is still slipping between 1st & 2nd gear. Hasn't blown up yet.
  5. My problem is completely solved. 100%. I brought a 2013 LTZ No buffeting, no vibrations.
  6. After following this problem for months. The fix is obvious. 1) rip the head liner, and weld the roof bars to the roof. Then find an interior shop to put it back together.... with some dyno mat. Then people talk about less than 15 lbs road force. Obviously the truck is very sensitive to any irregularities in the tires. But the road force is just a Band-Aid or a mask. There must be a resonant frequency that is causing the vibe. and Mr. CA with his new lowering springs is changing the dampening levels on the shocks and springs, so it's eliminating that problem. I doubt it's the pinion angle. GM knows all about it. Why they prefer to go through all the law suits, buy backs, and bad reputation on the internet is beyond me. That is the baffling question.
  7. I have the exact same collection, minus the 2016 vehicles.
  8. Any news on the 2017's ??? Or is GM going to let their reputation totally go down the drain ??
  9. My trans is slipping between 1st & 2nd. It's been doing this for many years. I have the servo, just never installed it. Amazing the trans hasn't blown up yet. I just lift when it slips.
  10. I threw some seafoam in my tranny, and now it's much better. I was ready to throw in the towel....
  11. The transmission is still holding on. It actually stopped slipping. There must be something in there that was sticking, and now it's not.
  12. Another 1000 miles on the tranny. Still going ! The sea foam made a major difference. Now that the holidays are over, I can hopefully get the vette servo in there.
  13. I got news for you. When you trade a car in, with excess of 60,000 miles. They don't look at it, they don't test drive it. They have no plans on selling it. They know it's being wholesaled for bottom dollar. It's done all day long, so, NO, it ain't screwing any body. You obviously have no idea how the auto industry works. If I wanted to screw someone, I'd sell it privately, with out mentioning tranny problems.
  14. It's been doing this for 80,000 miles. Now, it's just worse, and more consistent. And trading it in to the dealer isn't screwing anyone. They'll only give me $1000 for it anyway. Privately, I can probably get $5K I threw a can of seafoam in there today. Seems a little better.
  15. Instead of arguing with 20 people, google vette servo. Then crawl back under your rock.
  16. The LT1 crowd was big on the vette servo.
  17. The vette servo mod been around for ever. I know the F-body guys use it, and the B-body guys too. Mr. govtech doesn't seem to like corvettes for some reason.
  18. As long as it shifts good enough to trade it in to the dealer !!!!!
  19. I have all the parts for the vette servo. I just need to watch youtube a few times.
  20. 2003 Yukon Denali. 170,000 miles. The trans is slipping between 1st & 2nd gear. Now it's bad. It has been doing this intermittently for the past 80,000 miles !!!!! I kid you not. Most times, it's a mild slip. Then it would go away for months. Now it's back, and it may be time to have it fixed. No one believes me how long this has been going on. I used seafoam in the past, and it helped a bit. I changed the tranny fluid at 80k, and at 120K. The last tranny fluid change seemed to help. But now it's real annoying. Would a vette servo do any thing ?? It's only 1st & 2nd gear.
