Sorry didn’t take any pictures, and yes I left about 3 inches of hose hanging down underneath which can’t be seen unless you get under the vehicle works like a charm carpet’s are completely dry all of the time I believe the water is coming in where that harness originated. Bottom line I’ll take the 10 minute repair that works over the endless hours of frustration and soaked smelly carpets any day good luck

Hi there I own a 2015 2500 HD and had the same exact problem been to the dealer many times with absolutely no fix what I wound up doing was exactly where the black tape goes around the wire harness there I drilled a 3/8 inch hole put in a 4 inch piece of 3/8 gas line hose silicone it up put it all back together it’s been six years the truck sits outside be through many rain storms no more wet soggy carpet dry as a bone hope this helps
