  1. Fairly random, but if I recall correctly, 2, 5, and 8 were the main culprits. I'll be borrowing the nicer scan tool again this weekend and I'll see what I can see. I understand a misfire won't kill a battery or drain on it. My thoughts were if an injector was, just coincidentally on at the time of me turning off the truck and that injector was shorting out, it could lead to a drain. I don't know. Like I said, total loss with this.
  2. All, I am new to the forum and came for some help. I own and drive a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L. It currently has 156k miles. I am experiencing a random misfire, per a fancy scan tool. It isn't throwing a code, but I can feel it. It is also making my lights surge. It also, some times causes a drain on the battery and will kill it within a couple of days if sitting. Other times I can let it sit for weeks without issues. I have just recently replaced the Battery and Alternator to rule them out. So I have been leaning to something shorting out in the ignition or fuel system. I have purchased an ignition coil and systematically rotated it through all of my coils to prove they are not the issue. I was thinking of going ahead and replacing all of Injectors, but wanted to see if there was any other input before jumping into that cost. Like I stated, NO Check Engine Light. Thanks for your help..
