I have a 2016 Sierra 1500 Denali, and my driver-side running board plays "peek-a-boo" when I open both the front, or the rear door. The door opens, and the running board starts to engage for 1 second, then retracts back. The board is also not resting in it's normal "Home" position, it sticks out about 3 inches. The dealership says I need a new motor and linkage and wants my 1st born kid as payment. Has anyone ever encountered this issue? If so, what was the end result?
