I'm having same issues and have noted that the problem does not seem as severe during humid, rainy weather. In warm, low -humidity days it can be quite annoying and 'alarming'! I have suspected that during 'dry' times static electricity may be building up in the unit and mimic a touch to the screen at random spots. I will check the ground cable @ battery and wiring harness to unit if I get to it with medium effort. Hopefully by now, there is a definitive answer! Thankfully it's raining this week, AND no problems!
