Yeah I've got the 6l80 and 5.3. I actually found out I did have an issue. I found a puddle on the passenger side. Took it to the dealer and turns out the driver side seal for the rad is trashed. Dealer is declining to replace it even with pictures with timestamps showing that the same day it drove off it was having issues. Apperently there 3 month warranty only covers powertrain, What I get for not having the extended warranty . They told me they'll see what they can do and if they missed it and let me know tomorrow. All I'm hearing is I'm gonna be doing this myself.

I might have to get me a new engine and trans thermostat . Any bulletin on the trans temp or was it like what gm did with the early afm models and just said "oops, we fixed it now, but your stuck with the ****ed up versions "

My 2000 has cooling issues so it's unsettling to see it go up that high on a new truck lol, I was gunning on it 20 minutes ago and it eventually got up to the small line between half and 3/4. Idk exact temp as I didn't have hptuners on

I might run a few sessions with my HPTuners to see how hot it's actually getting. The truck will cool off and stay down for a while but that might just be the thermostat opening/closing. The stock thermostats are 207? Big jump from the LS's being 187 stock

Hey yall, new to me 2018 GMC Sierra z71 with 72k miles. I've noticed since I got it sometimes it'll go above the middle line on the temp gauge. Sometimes it'll go up a little, sometimes more. Doesn't matter if I'm regular driving or flooring it. Doesnt mstter if its 100° or 70° out. Hasn't hit the third line yet but worries me. Haven't even had the truck a week yet. My 2000 Sierra didn't do this, nor does my friends 18 silverado with 100k. But his aero flaps in the front are messed up so I'm not sure if this is normal.
