So I’m in the landscape business I have three 2015 Chevy 2500 trucks one of them is a D’s. I also have a 2017 2500 Silverado diesel. It seems that both diesel trucks have some type of issue with the trailers on hook it to it. Not every trailer but the two I use the most, my dump trailer and my flatbed trailer. I can plug these trailers in electrically and hook them to my trailer receiver, And as long as they’re empty I may get one message that says check trailer wiring, And it little ding four times. When I put weight in these trailers either one of them only on these two particular diesel trucks, the message is nonstop sporadic and completely aggravating. There is no problem with my trailer wiring and if there was, why would it not give me the message all the damn time even when it’s not loaded. It seems to only do it mostly when there’s weight on the trailer. I have called General Motors and they don’t have a clue what to tell me other than to call my dealership who also doesn’t have a freaking clue. I just want to disable this message so it will keep me from ripping it out of my dashboard or worse, disconnecting my door and trailer to avoid it. As you can tell this is aggravating. I hope someone on here can help. Let me add a little extra info, I have four other trailers none of them cause my truck to do this, but let me also remind you I have two other GM trucks that also have this trailer connected technology built into them, And none of them give me that message.
