The global reset as they called it seemed to do the trick.

Follow up to my own post for any follow on readers.....dealer reached back to GM and they had to do a global reset. This seems to have worked thus far. Time will tell if it really is fixed. Dealer was unaware of any actions to take until they contacted there support at GM. GM was aware and mentioned as of Apr 22 they had not put out a service tech bulletin for it but had a solution to fix.

I have noticed that intermittently the turn signal indicator on the dash will remain on without using the turn signal lever. It does not flash but stays on steady. Once driving the vehicle this goes out. I have noticed that it is usually when stopped or parked. I am not sure how to replicate the issue or if the actual signal front or back is on. I do have a picture of it occurring. I have observed it both on the left indicator and the right. At first I thought maybe it was an indication of which way the tires and steering wheel may be oriented to aid the driver in understanding which direction the tires are pointed. Seems very strange and not very intuitive. I have researched the owners manual with no insight.
