Hi! I have a 2002 gmc 1500 and I’m working on adding signal high country mirrors like the 03-07 can. I’ve been watching videos and doing research and from what I can gather, I need to take apart the high country mirrors I bought and wire in my harness for running light and then splice that into The truck somewhere with running light power. I also have to run a wire from the mirrors harness to my bcm turn signal locations. And I need to run a wire from my mirrors to a spot for reverse lights. The videos I’ve been seeing are using all kinds of fuses and messing with the fuse box and such and my father thinks they’re over doing it. (He has a master in electrical engineering). I’m wondering if I can just simply run the harness from my mirrors into pin B6 and B7 of my bcm no fuses or anything. Those are the turn signals. It’s not gonna draw that much power right? At the same spot there’s a wire for parking lights so that’s easy to theoretically. And the. Lastly I could run the reverse light wire back to the tail lights and get power from them. What do you think? Would this work?
