I have ONStar if that's what you meant. I found another annoying thing today, XM radio goes into pause after I shut off the truck to do business. When I start again it has the channel play behind live. I guess my phone does the pause, for what reason I have no idea. Also seems like I'm getting connected to my OnStar Wifi system because on the display it shows 4G and not Wifi. I believe before the recall I didn't run AA and I was able to get and send text messages and connect to the OnStar Wifi. If I select the radio to play XM instead of AA, I don't have any problems. I'm beginning to think I don't need AA to drive. Am I missing something here, as to the operation of AA? Thanks for any help. Danny

I do have a data plan with Verizon and a paid subscription with XM. And everything works without AA, it's just if I want the satellite map view, it has to be running AA and then I lose control of XM using the advance button on the steering wheel to change channels. The Recall is now using Android 12, kernel 4.19.255. In my opinion, it was easier to do things before the update without the NEED of AA. Thanks for the reply. Danny

My truc;. 2023 GMC Sierra XLT paid SIRIUSXM subscription, Onstar subscription So after the dealership did the update, it appears that you have to run AA all the time in order to see Google maps in satellite mode. I also noticed that some of my phone apps now can appear, like Google Chat. Seems very difficult to send a chat message because Google is slow. When I start the truck to drive, my XM stations are tied to my phone app. Previously I could change my pre-selected channels with the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. Can't do that now. I have to use a Google command to change channels. As usual, this update doesn't work well in my opinion. Thanks for any ideas, opinions or cheap shots. All is welcome Danny

THANKS to everyone that answered my question. The dealer said that it might be related to ONstar. I'm kind of thinking that Sirius is or has weak satellite broadcast signals. I find that it does lose a signal much easier now that in 2007. Danny

I don't know where to ask this question, so if not here point me in the right direction. I have a 2023 Sierra XLT and have noticed that after I start driving the XM radio goes off then back on. No obstructions in the area. I also notice that the speed limit for the road I'm driving doesn't show immediately, sometimes several minutes after going. I don't know if these issues are normal or not. Thanks for the help. Danny

My questions are how to use Google Chat in Android Auto mode andhow to set preferences on Google Maps for the Search bar. I won't need to find coffee shops and would like to see a restaurant during a trip. Thanks for the help. Danny

I found out the issue thanks to my wife. For what ever reason, what I saw was directly related to the SMX app on my phone. I changed the "recently" played to the 60's and now android auto shows a 60's program instead of the sex tapes. GO FIGURE. Danny

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have a paid SiriusXM account. I can get my XM channels to play but still have the SEX channel up. Haven't figured out how to get the map full size. I can't determine where the fault is, Google for Android Auto, or XM. Thanks, Danny

I've got a new 2023 Sierra SLT. When I connect to Android Auto, I get on the side of the map a Sirus channel for SEX TALK TAPES and I can't change it or get rid of it. WTF????? Thanks for the help. Danny

You might be right. Normally I press the brake to start the engine, keeping my foot on the brake then select R, if I let go of the shifter, it falls back to N. Yesterday after starting, I took my foot off the brake, put it back on, then pushed the button, then selected R, took my hand off and it stayed in R. I'll have to try this again to see if that's my problem. On a second note, the Google map only shows what I have saved in my favorites from my account and gas stations. I've tried selecting others like restaurants and saving it, but it seems not to stay after shut down. I'm looking for points of interest when traveling. Thanks for the help. Danny

I just bought a new 2023 Sierra SLT with the electronic shifter. Seems I have a problem when shifting into reverse to back out of the garage that sometimes when I let go of the shifter, it goes into Netrual and not stay in Reverse. Am I doing it wrong or is there a problem? Thanks for the help. Danny

I have a 2007 Sierra truck and would like to install a new GPS mapping system with cellphone and Android Auto that would fit in the same spot as original. IS there such a creature? I have XM Radio currently. Thanks for the help. Danny
