Hi, I've been having some trouble getting my truck back on the road after a deer decided to destroy the passenger side of my truck and deployed the curtain airbags(along with lots of body/headlight damage totalling over 17k in repairs). I've received varying information for which parts I need to get the truck going again. The collision repair shop/insurance company states that I need part #'s 84487866($831.48) and 84487865($831.48)- after waiting over 3 months for these airbags to come in stock, I began searching on my own with the help of a local auto parts store. He stated I need part number 87838199 (100.00$) which would include both left and right curtain airbags (and I could have them in a week). I verified that part number including my vin with the local GMC dealership parts department, however the collision shop says that they're supplier confirmed the 100$ parts are incorrect! Not sure what is going on, any thoughts? Is it because of the TAKADA recall and there is a new parts number?
