  1. Had the same issue, mechanic replaced the fan clutch and auxiliary belt. The video's are posted here if you want to compare noises. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/261255-cold-start-whining-horn-like-noise-comes-and-goes-with-videosound-clip/#comment-2607383 Note there are multiple pages on the forum with the resolutions on page 2, getting a lot of follow up messages asking if the issue was resolved, but it's all posted here
  2. Hi All, I had the fan clutch replaced last Friday and have put ~200km both city and highway driving and since then. So far the sound has not returned. They also put a new auxiliary belt on. So hopefully the problem is now resolved.
  3. I've had my 2022 3500HD Sierra in 3 times now to try to fix the issue. 20,000 km on it. They tried replacing the auxiliary fan belt as when they took the belt off the noise went away. When they put the new belt one on the noise went away long enough for me to drive it off the lot and down the street but came back worse than before. Today they ordered a new fan clutch, it will come in next week so will keep everyone posted if that is the issue. The tech didn't check the alternator. Sierra 3500HD (2).mp4
