2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 5.3 4l60e 4WD 4.10 with No towing package.
My 2001 Tahoe has never registered Park or Neutral on the dash. When it is cranked the Park postion indicator "square" shows up temporarily but the goes away. One of the previous owners installed a remote start and car alarm and I suspected this was the cause. I have owned it for almost a decade and the only issue it ever caused was disabling 4Lo. It cranks and drives as it should and for this reason I never addressed the problem. Thats also why I do not think I have an issue with the actual Neutral Safety switch. This finally became a problem when I needed to replace the Crankshaft position sensor, because the scan tool must read a park or neutral position to start the relearn procedure. I have removed the aftermarket alarm and remote start module and nothing changed. When I crawled under to check the switch, I discovered that someone messed with the terminal and the ground was not connected and one wire is just completely gone. Here is a picture:

You can see the Black ground wire and a shrink wrap connector but note the absence of the ORN/BLK wire that should go to Pin A. As far as I can tell that wire is the Park Neutral Signal and is Circuit 1786.
Sorry for the poor quality.
I am going to replace that terminal but the wire to Pin A on switch C2 is gone. I traced the loom as far as I could and it is just not there. I am comfortable working on mechanical issues but this is my first go at automotive electrical. I believe this wire is ORN/BLK Circuit 1786 but I cannot find much to go on for where to re-run the wire... I have found info on these pages....

I am fairly confident the wire runs either to the Blue PCM Connector C1 at Pin 34 (circuit 434) or to the X1 connector at Pin 1 (I think actually circuit 1786), but the more I drill down to confirm, the more confused I get. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Where should I run the wire for the Pin A on the C2 terminal of the Park Neutral Position Switch?
