Nope, never been removed. I'll inspect this grounding point as well though for peace of mind when I get around to it. Is it easily accessible, or does anything need to be removed to get to it?

Thank you for the response. That guy is one of the videos I watched along with this other one below from another guy on YouTube called Tony Lester. I also watched the video at the bottom of this post from Dustin T where he goes into a bit more detail about the symptoms he was experiencing. These guys symptoms are somewhat similar to mine, apart from theirs also seems to occur when they are driving which mine doesn't fortunately. Also, fortunately I have not had the wheel jerkiness described by Tony at the end of his video. After doing a little more research, it looks like there is also a grounding point under the truck near the starter that I'm also going to take off and clean thoroughly. My initial thoughts were that it was some exposed ground that had gotten filthy and grimy and was causing these intermittent issues. Either today or tomorrow I plan on cleaning both of these grounding points up (by the starter and the one next to the speaker) and will report back my findings.

Hi everyone, I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 6.2L LTZ with ~150k miles. Recently I've had this weird electrical gremlin pop up that I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me track down. The problem occurs on initial startup of the truck, when I'm shifting out of park, the following gauge cluster/DIC oddities occur: The red shift indicator sometimes disappears or flashes momentarily as I pull the lever down to various positions. One or more of the DIC messages below pop up in quick succession such as: Tire Monitor System Trailer Brake System Theft Deterrent System Park Assist Off Stabilitrak All gauge needles will briefly go all the way to the left, and then immediately return to normal. This is only temporary, and I must stress, none of the systems outlined above seem to actually be defective. The truck, engine, transmission, etc. run perfectly fine. This is the only issue that occurs. Even when the red shift indicator disappears/flashes momentarily, the truck is actually shifting through the gears. None of these gauge issues or alerts ever crop up while driving, this only occurs after starting the truck and initially shifting into reverse or drive to leave the house/work. I had my Duralast Platinum battery replaced at Autozone under warranty last week to rule out any weird battery issue as it was nearing the three-year mark since I bought it. I cleaned the connector clamps thoroughly before installing the new battery. Oddly, the problem seems to occur more predictably when it is hot out (Houston, TX here). There have been a number of mornings where when I am backing out of the garage, it doesn't occur (not every single time, but a lot). Then later in the day when I'm parked out in the sun at work and go to lunch it almost always crops up. To me it sounds like some sort of grounding/resistance problem. I have crawled under the truck and found two grounds on the frame, one on the driver side and one on the passenger side; removed those and cleaned them thoroughly and bolted them back down tight. I've also read about and watched a couple of YouTube videos regarding the ground in the cab, under the dash by the A pillar next to the driver side speaker near the windshield. I haven't had the time to get to this one yet, but it is probably going to be my next stop. Apparently sound deadening insulation can be trapped between the ground and the metal it is bolted to, causing high resistance and weird electrical issues. However, it seems like this is something that occurs at the factory, and in my mind it's a bit weird I've never had any other weird electrical gremlin like this until very recently with this problem so I'm not convinced this is the culprit. Any suggestions on where to look or what to do next?
