Need help with cammed LS startup/idle?
I’ve been seeing a lot of guys struggling with startup and idle after cam swaps, especially with bigger cams like Chopacabra, Truck Norris, etc.
If your truck:
Needs throttle to start
Starts then dies
Won’t hold idle
Surges or drops RPM coming to a stop
That’s all stuff I deal with regularly.
I run JR Jones Racing and specialize in LS/HEMI tuning, especially cammed setups. I’ve spent a lot of time dialing in startup, idle airflow, throttle control, and drivability so the truck actually runs the way it should — not just “barely stays running.”
