I have a 2017 Silverado Work Truck. Came with Factory power windows and power locks. It did not come equipped with a keyless entry system from the factory. It does not have any of the modules to add remotes for door lock entry or remote start. Does anyone know of a kit to add these features to my truck?

Hey, i'm new to forums. Not sure how to search for my problem..sorry if a repeat. I can't seem to find in the manual and running through all the vehicle settings on 2019 sierra denali. When i approach the truck with keyfob in my hand, and push the handle button, the lights flash but nothing unlocks. There is an option about proximity entry: off/driver door or all doors... I have it on all doors. Now the damn thing worked fine for the first 2 months...this stopped working 1 month ago. Anyone experience this? How to fix? Jack

Hello, I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD, the keyless remote receiver seems to be going out on the truck because i notice it is very selective on when it wants to work, from what distance, and every other factor in general. I even replaced the battery in the original remote and have reprogrammed an identical remote to my truck and it still acts the same. I opened up the dash to find the keyless entry receiver and have the part number #15732806 yet trying to order a new one I come to have found out that it is discontinued and cannot find one online to replace it with. My question is, can I get another keyless entry receiver from say a 2005 or 2007 or 2003 or any other suv/truck from GM and plug it in and just re-program the remote to the receiver, or is there something else I can do to get a new receiver even though the part is discontinued, or basically what are my options?

I just picked up a 99 K1500 GMT400 and I didn't get a key fob, just keys. Did this model come with remote keyless entry? I would check the codes for the AUO code but truck is getting some suspension work so I don't have it readily available. I know I could add aftermarket RKE but it would be nice to just buy a couple of fobs and be done with it. Thanks so much!

Hi! I have a 2015 Silverado 1WT that does NOT have keyless entry. I'm a bit miffed because the salesman told me it could be added at a later date, but when I called the dealership they told me it couldn't be added. So I've come across a TON of different responses on this forum and others - all of which give conflicting advice. I'm left with my head spinning as to whether or not it can be done. Here's my info: 2015 Chevy Silverado Double Cab - 1WT Currently NO KEYLESS entry These are the RPO codes (note: no AQQ) I have power locks. I have TPM sensors. i03 radio. A chevy tech on another forum told me i needed the hood latch kit in order to add it. While yet another forum told me the ECM is software-locked and cannot have keyless codes entered, even from the factory. I type my VIN into the accessories.chevy.com and get the remote start kit (2 fobs, wiring harness, hood latch harness) as an option: VEHICLE 1: Vin: 1GCVKPEH0FZ187249 / 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4 - Door Extended Cab Pickup 143.5 WT 4WD Remote Start Kit Part No.: 22997089 So, I orderd the kit through my local dealership. They called me yesterday and told me their system wouldn't allow them to order the kit for my truck, and that I was out of luck with keyless entry - unless I wanted to go aftermarket. So here I am, confused as all heck. Has anyone figured out a solution to this keyless issue? Can it be done? Is there something else I need to do? I would prefer to not go aftermarket (and void warranty or anything). Can I just order the 2297089 and install it myself, then go to the dealer and have it programmed? or will the computer not accept it? There's so many different answers on different forums ranging over the past 4-5 years or so. I'm hoping that someone here has a bit clearer answer for me. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I recently got a 2017 Silverado Custom 1500 and was wondering if keyless entry is something i should have received at purchase. The truck was paired with one when i test drove it but when i received it i expected to have it but realized i only received two keys. i was curious if anyone else has this model and if it came with keyless entry or not. Thanks everyone!

Smart Key Entry on 2015 Sierra Denali 1500
jasbains posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Hi, I have a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 and I wanted to know if anyone has figured out a way to add smart key functionalities to this model. I still don't understand how GM made such a high-priced truck in 2015 without having smart key unlocking functions. I basically want the truck to unlock when you get close to it which is standard on most cars since 2010 in other makes and models. Please let me know if anyone has tried to do this or if it can be done. Thanks in advance. -
Hi gang, My 06 Silverado ext cab started acting up with the following order. When turning off the truck, removing the key and then opening the drivers door to exit the truck, the radio will stay on and the interior lights won't come on. Second, when either front door is open, I have no interior lights even when I toggle the override switch. Third, now my keyless entry will only respond intermittently when attempting to unlock the door but will lock every time with either remote. Any one seen this before? Very strange. Thanks all,

I have a 2015 GMC Canyon with 53K miles and the Keyless Entry and TPMS (Tire Pressure Sensors) stopped working at the same time. I am guessing it is an issue with the RF Module. I would like to check the fuse first before going to the dealer but I could not find keyless entry or TPMS listed in the fuse box diagram. I think it is probably one of the 8 Body Control Modules. Can someone tell me which fuse this is on? Is there anything else on the same fuse? Thanks

Recently bought a 2015 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 LT with 1LT plus package. Seems fairly nicely equipped but noticed that when locked with the key FOB the light sensor/ alarm light on the dashboard does not light up or flash. Also noticed that if I unlock the door with a key and open the door no alarm sounds (I believe I read that this should set off the alarm). Is it really possible that the keyless entry doesn't include any sort of alarm or does it seem like it just isn't working right? Figured WT model may be Keyless Entry only but no alarm on LT? How do I know if there is supposed to be an alarm or at least a light that blinks when the truck is locked?

This is my first post so I will apologize in advance if the question has already been raised. I bought a new 2015 GMC 2500 a week ago. I love work truck package but it has no keyless entry. My 08 was a WT package and it did. I checked the codes and I have the code for the keyless entry but no fobs came with the truck. I need an honest factual answer. Can I just buy the remotes and program them or do I need a module installed by the dealer and does the dealer have to program the remotes?

First off, I'd like to say thank you for any and all help! My keyless entry and remote start have decided to work when it feels like. Usually after you are at the drivers door. Makes it hard to unlock the truck to open the door for the Mrs. I have ordered a new OEM remote, new batteries, and relearned the remotes. I have pulled te BCM fuse, keyless entry fuse, and the unlock fuse and left them out for over an hour prior to replacing. I have taken the remotes and had them tested by a locksmith. Can anyone give me an idea where to turn?

Hello again Truck masters, I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab, 4.8L V8, standard transmission. I recently ordered a keyless remote replacement for my truck to replace an old one that broke (had it clipped to my jeans while sawing up trees in LA during hurricane gustav a few years back, and it was water damaged and smashed moving logs). I held on to it anyway the past few years (the old one). Anyway, the new one I ordered is identical to the old one, same numbers, FCC ID, etc. I went online and found some instructions for programming it. The normal: hold unlock, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, release unlock--the locks cycle--hold down the keyless remote unlock and lock buttons simultaneously for 15-60 seconds until locks cycle... Well it didn't work, the locks cycle fine and enter into programming mode, but when I hold down the remote buttons simultaneously nothing happens. I called tech support (the people who I bought the keyless remote from) and followed the steps with them on the phone. The tech asked me to put it into programming mode and then to turn the key to the ON and OFF position to see if the program would exit properly by cycling the locks again, and this doesn't happen. He explained to me that the truck would enter programming mode but would immediately exit (or crash) and that this problem seemed to be pretty common on blazers of this year too. I asked him if I should go ahead and buy a new keyless receiver module and he said no, get it checked out by the dealership. So here is what I have done so far: - I tested and replace the keyless remote battery, made sure it read 3.0-3.3v (so it's not the remote battery) - I took the remote to Autozone and tested it on one of their signal testers - the remote works perfectly - I disconnected my truck battery for 10 minutes, reconnected it, and tried it again (no luck) - Went to a junkyard and found an identical keyless receiver module and replaced the one in my truck (no luck) - Tested to see what happens without a keyless receiver module--truck doesn't enter programming mode, locks don't cycle I did some more reading and searching online and there seems to be a memory problem with the truck's computer? If this is so, is there a way to reset it? If this is something I absolutely can't fix, what's a ballpark estimate on the cost to have someone else fix/program it? any other ideas?

My Keyless entry stopped working this morning on my 04 Silverado. I used both key fobs and put new batteries in each (same result). I replaced my front headlights last night and all the bulbs, could that have something to do with it??? I tried re-programming the fobs, no luck there either. All the power locks work properly, and everything else seems to be working, no warning lights....

I just purchased a used 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 HD, it has power locks but manual windows, the dealer I purchased it from didn't know if it had keyless entry or not as it didn't come with a key fob, Ive done some research on how to program new fobs and I can get my truck into "Program Mode" By holding down the unlock button and cycling the ignition on/off twice, the horn honks and the doors lock and unlock, so my question is if my truck goes into "Program Mode" does that mean it does have keyless entry capabilities? Is there any other way to know if it does or doesn't? Id like to know before I spend money on a replacement fob incase it doesnt have keyless entry. Thanks in advance
