  1. Wanting to add roof rack or bed rack of some sort ...wondering if and what anyone has used and are happy with? I want to be able to haul kayaks on the roof or over the bed without giving up my hard fold
  2. I have the 2020 2500 LTZ trim level with back slide window and without sunroof. So i want to remove the overhead console to install a panel of rocker switches posterior to the console right where the roof liner scoops down. I am stuck on how to remove the single button switch for the rear slide window. I tried what i know but don't want to break it. Please share if anyone have come across this. Thanks
  3. We we had some strong storms roll throught the DFW area yesterday for a while. When I finally got out to my truck, there was a nice puddle of water sitting in my All Weather floormat. Now I know why GM sells these - to keep your carpet dry from the leaky roof! There was several ounces of water down there = a large puddle. I traced it up the inside of the dash, up the A-pillar, and to a wet headliner. NOT HAPPY!!! This is the second time this has happened in my new truck. The first time was a few months ago and only a little amount, so I thought it might have been a fluke. Though I did bring it to the dealership to have them look at it. They spent at least an hour in the water bay, most of the time with me helping, trying to find a leak. They first suspected the sunroof drain, but rulled that out after several tests. Then looked around the front window, but couldn't find anything. But the window couldn't be the cause with the location of the wetness in the headliner without a strong headwind (like while driving). Both occurences have been while parked at work for a long period of time. Then I mentioned reading some issues with the OnStar antenna, so they ran a strong hose right up on it for several minutes - nothing. I told them I'd keep an eye on it and come back. Obviously it wasn't a fluke, and obviously there's a problem. Does anybody know what's going on? Why is there a gap in the OnStar antenna seal? For those that have had this fixed, did the dealership do anything different than just replace the antenna? Is there a new/better antenna design? Did they apply additional sealant? Is GM doing anything to address this? Has anyone applied sealant to the gap to fix this problem themselves? When they were looking for my leak, the did partially drop the headliner to inspect the underside of the roof. The antenna was installed tightly. I'm just curious if anybody knows what the real problem is? Or what the real fix is? Thanks.
  4. The rattle we had was coming from headliner behind the passenger seat, and was typically worse at medium to highway speeds. It is noticeably louder with the sunroof cover slid back(open). My fix: Open rear passenger door and stand on running board to access the roof rack. If you wiggle the crossbar of the rack it has the slightest of slack, but just enough to make a clanking sound. I wedged some thin flexible magnet pieces(no the rack isn't magnetic, just what I had handy) in between the crossbar and the roof brace in front of and back of the bar(see pic). Viola...no noise. If these come loose I will come up with something more robust(maybe some two part epoxy). I'm not familiar with the inside of the 2015-2019 Suburban, Tahoe, and regular Yukon's, but the ultra quiet cabin of the Denali amplifies ANY little rattle or strange noise. I was used to the road noise and rattles of my 2007 Suburban(288K). They went kind of hand in hand. This one will take some getting used to. I know, suck it up buttercup. Now...back to the "other" issue... front end clank, clank, clank-clank after medium to hard braking, but occasionally during acceleration, and less occasionally steady speeds. No specific rhythm, almost like it's swinging in the wind, and then it suddenly stops after a few seconds. Please help if you know anything! I WILL fix this too! There is a video from another in a different thread on here that has the EXACT same issue/sound as mine.
  5. Hi guys, Anyone had the chance to remove these roof racks from their car? I just want to look underneath as I suspect I have some minor leak underneath Do I need to remove the headliner to do this? Thanks
  6. Hi there! Man it's been a long time since I been on this site! That rusty 01 is long gone!! LOL Anyway, I have a dilemma, we just purchased a 2013 Yukon XL Denali (kind of a rushed purchase, figured I could deal with the moon roof, I was wrong). My question is, what can I do to get more head room in this thing? Are there any seat mods that can be done to give me a little more room? I am 6'3" and totally uncomfortable driving this beast! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
