I am not saying this is the problem, not even sure if the gmt-900's have swaybar end link issues. My wife had an acadia that made a solid popping noise when making a hard turn at low speeds. It ended up being the swaybar end links, these were apparently a problem with these vehicles, as there were many discussions on it in a envoy forum I used to keep up with. I replaced them with ones that had grease fittings and never had a problem with it again. Hope this helps!
