So I have a 2015 Silverado with Nav and everything was working fine up till today.
When I start my truck now it tells me that there is no media found.
I have a 128 GB USB stick with my music on it. This has worked without any issues for the last 2 months.
3 out of 5 times that I start my truck I get this message.
The only way to get it to recognize the USB drive again is to disconnect it and plug it back in.
Has anyone else had this issue with the radio giving you a no media found message?
If I hit the Media button again it will try and connect to my phone. I do not want to stream via Bluetooth. (I shut my Bluetooth off on my phone and have to unplug and then plug the USB drive in again to get it to connect)
I have tried two different usb drives today and got the same result with both. The main usb drive is 128gb and the other is a 15gb drive.(I do not keep both plugged in at the same time)
There is absolutely no reason why I should all of the sudden be having issues as I have not added any music or taken the USB drives out of the truck since I put them in.
If anyone could help on this issue I would appreciate it.
I dont want to take it to the dealership for them to tell me everything is fine. I am an IT manager and a Tech nerd as my wife says. The USB drives are configured correctly.
I would really like to know if GM or Onstar can force an update to the system without anyone knowing because it sounds to me like an update was pushed to the radio and now I have issues.
Also the 3 USB locations that are under the cover on the dash due connect to the radio as well. I know some of you had said it was for power only but I think they must have changed this in the 2015 anyways.
I can plug in to all 3 of those usb ports and play my music.
I use the USB ports in the center console currently just because I don't want to look at the thumb drive.
