  1. Thanks I'll take a look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I am having trouble finding any specific information about what caps might fit my truck. I have a 1989 1500 with an 8ft bed. I know chevy/gmc caps from 88-98 will fit but has anyone had luck using a cap from another make and model? Or newer Chevy/gmc trucks? It would be nice to broaden my search parameters. It doesn't have to be a perfect factory fit obviously, I'm not sure anything would look factory on my old girl anyway. Thanks for any help you may have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for the reply. I am considering building a basic box out of MDF, but I'd love to see a pict of what u got if you have one. Thanks Liam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Usually for running electric. Maybe lights or a heater for the trailer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hey guys, I just rescued an 89 chevy 1500 single cab from my father in laws farm. I was wondering what you guys have used as a center console. I'd just like a place to stash some stuff and a cup holder, but the bench seat doesn't offer much. I dont need need anything major, but as you might imagine the interior of a 1989 single cab work truck is pretty sparse. There's not really even an out of the way place to stash my cell phone. I am open to thoughts, ideas, recommendations, and pictures of what you have done. Thanks Liam
  6. Hey guys, I just pulled a non-running 1989 350 single cab (scotsdale) with an 8ft bed off my father-in-laws farm. it is not rust free but has realitivly low rust, and the frame is solid. the interior is all vinal, and really needs a good scrub down. we put in a new thermostat, gas, and oil and she is running again no problem. although my father in law had it for about 15 years it was a fleet truck at one time, we found the records on it in the glove box and it appears to have about 560K miles on the clock. shes on the second engine, having a new install done at ~250K. The trans seems to load up and shift hard so that will have to be looked into at some point but right now i am thrilled look forward to learning as much as i can about the truck, and enjoying it for years to come. Liam
