Thanks everyone for all the help! Hopefully just the stepper as has been mentioned by several of you, so I can do a pretty easy fix without worrying about the tank. I had to fix the speedometer stepper last year, and a few bucks plus a soldering iron sure beat the $600 I was quoted on the entire instrument panel. Tim, Saudi sheikh I wish! (At least I wish for his bank account!)

2005 Silverado 5.3 V8 - Filled my gas tank the other day and when I jumped back in to the truck the fuel gauge was way past full and pointing down to about the 5 o'clock position. (Full is at about 2 o'clock position) So far, after a few days of driving I haven't seen it move at all. Any ideas?
