  1. I did change out the accelerator pedal today to the new updated one and noticed a difference. The truck responds better and accelerates better. Doing this and the shim under the assembly made big difference.

  3. I could use my ear scope to pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
  4. It seems to be hit or miss with these engines. I'm going to bring mine into dealer to see what they say. I also have a chirp from the exhaust valve. Not sure if they will do anything under warranty for it.
  5. Just wonder if they did some change to the engine so it's not so pronounced. Maybe they updated the hp fuel pump?
  6. Hey guys im new to this forum....I own a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3l and it has the "Normal" ticking noise from the engine. It has 45,000 miles. I got to drive my brother in law 2018 Chevy 1500 5.3l and it has no ticking noise. Did they fix this issue on the newer trucks? I also notice it is peppier than my truck / more responsive to accelerator pedal.
