Resolved. Thanks to this forum. Hmi 2.5 gray connector to X63a connectors at rear bumper. Use connector x900 tailgate harness to chassis harness x63a. pins 26 and 27 for video.

2016 Silverado 2500 HD. IO5 I installed a hmi 2.5 to my truck. It added CarPlay. Very happy with the hmi. when going into reverse the screen goes blue/black says service rear view camera. I can also go to setting and have option to add grids. so I assume I could add a rear view backup camera to the existing female plug u def behind the bumper 8 pin. can someone tell me what and where to get a male harness to plug into the female connector under/ behind the bumper. I’ll assume my hmi is ready and programmed for a rear view backup camera. I ordered a harness from bob’s mirrors but it a female pigtail. So I need a male pigtail. Which I can order from them. I assume.

th3magpi3 I just finished reading almost all 68 pages of the thread. I had re@ched our to two other venders and didn’t get real responsive answers. what do I need to get CarPlay in a 2016 silverado that got the $200 credit. These other two veneers were lacking in email information to that question. i asked this question to th3magpi3 he said only the hmi 2.5 programmed to my vin. I said send me one....he invoiced me and I paid he programmed and shipped. I’m waiting for it to arrive around January 2nd. His price was substantially less then these other two venders too. my case of being a 2016 and already having radio and usb there made a price difference. But please the other two venders were outrageous pricing. shop around guys....thanks th3magpi3 for your help and input.
