    I have a 2016 Silverado that wasn’t so lucky and had the older 2015 HMI 2.0 unit without Apple CarPlay. Contacted Chad over at Coastal Flash regarding my situation and he provided and flashed a brand new 2.5 HMI unit with my VIN. Received it a couple of days later and it installed easily.
