  1. Thank you for the information, ill keep that in my back pocket for now. I have a case open with GM customer support or whatever it is. I plan on calling her tomorrow and seeing what they say, she was upset when i told the situation and my case has been "elevated". I dont want this truck back honestly. My dad worked for a Cadillac/Izuzu dealer here several years ago, and he said the same thing. Hes been told numerous times to go to a car on the lot and grab a certain part off it to make the preferred customer happy and on their way, so he can see them taking stuff off my truck to appease another customer. I was panning on getting my wife a Tahoe from this dealer but after this i dont think ill ever go back to this dealer for anything.
  2. Not sure if this the right section, but I’m curious if anyone has been dealing with backordered parts from GM. I have a 2019 Silverado 1500 that I bought new in November. I was on my way to work one morning and a lady ran a red light and hit the front end of my truck. This was in February, on the 5th. I had the truck towed back to the dealer I bought it from thinking since they were a certified GM collision center they would be able to get it done in a timely manor. Well today is now April and they still haven’t been able to get the part needed to fix it. They have no idea when or if the part will be available, the soonest they think is sometime in May now. The part that bothers me the most is I went there yesterday to get a different loaner vehicle and the truck is sitting outside without a front clip and the hood opened exposed to the weather and such. I didn’t think much of it, so today I went back to grab some thing out of the truck I forgot and to check the hood situation. The truck was still in the same condition as yesterday. Now we’ve had several rain storms this week and only one could guess how long they have left it like this. I will attach pictures. Has anyone dealt with this type of situation? I know there’s a lot going on, but this all started way before the Covid pandemic, and I’m still paying a good chunk of change for a truck I can’t drive, and can’t move any of my trailers now.
