Did you notice any difference in diesel mileage with the Banks Deringer? Mine guzzles diesel after the lift and bigger tires. Can you correct tire size with the Deringer?
I have the surround view camera on my Denali. When the camera is on and moving forward it’s bright and easily visible. When I shift to reverse it dims and is nearly impossible to see without holding something above the screen.
is there a setting I need to look at or is it just something wrong I need to have the dealer look at?
I’m going to do tint after we move back to Texas in a couple months. They allow darker tint. The rest is all in the works. GM needs to correct a paint issue and then I’m going to do all the other color matching and put on some AMP steps.
So far, I’ve done the 6.5” BDS lift. JTX Forged 26x12 Grip wheels, AMP 37x13.50r26 tires, color matched the GMC logos, debadged all the sides and the tailgate. I have a Retrax Pro XR on the way for the back. Bulletproof 12” drop hitch.
Rough Country now makes a riveted set that is wider than stock. They don’t have pictures, but confirmed you can reinstall the lights. Does anybody else make aftermarket flares?
Probably unpopular here, but JTX Forged is building me a set of 26x12 and we are going to put 37x13.50r26’s on them. My truck is a tow pig and doesn’t really go off-road. Dirt road here and there, but that’s it.
I was told the Chevrolet dealership had a better paint shop by the body shop that told me it was under the clear. I scheduled an appointment there today and went by there before lunch. The adjuster agreed that she thought it was under the clear coat, but wanted the manager to look at it. She was extremely friendly. He was immediately hostile and said that there was no way quality control missed that. He asked if I had it painted or something put over the paint and I told him no. He asked why I wasn’t at the dealer where I bought it and I told him that they didn’t have a body shop. He then accused them of putting ceramic coating over dirty paint and trash talked the dealer. He told me to look in the middle of the grille and look at the letters. He said it didn’t say Chevrolet and to take it elsewhere.
I drove to the GMC dealer that has a body shop. They couldn’t get it into service today, but the contracted body shop manager looked at it. He said the spots are in the fender flares and that the flares are painted in a different facility. He said he doesn’t thing it’s possible that it’s a factory defect even if it’s under the clear, but take it to service and see what they say. I can’t see them until Monday.
I got an estimate from the third party shop to repaint and they guy quoted me ballpark 15k. Is paint really that expensive these days? I’m pretty beat down and hope the manager Monday at GMC is a little more friendly.
My 2020 Denali went in today for ceramic coating and the guys called me to com e look at it. There are what looks like silver chips all over the side I’ve never noticed. The paint is perfectly smooth and it’s under the clear coat. They attempted to wet sand just to confirm it was under the clear. I have an appointment with GM tomorrow and I’m nervous. Has anyone else had paint issues? It’s white Frost Tricoat.
I’m picking up my truck either tomorrow or next week. When I was shopping, I found a ram 2500 with the Fabtech 5” and the Dirt Logic 4.0 shocks. I really liked the setup. Are there any big reservoir shock lift kits available 5” or more? I see Fabtech lists a 5” coming soon, but haven’t found much in search.
