Well I hate to join this party...but here I am... 2019 6.2 Silverado LTZ. I literally watched it turn over 10K miles this past weekend thinking to myself this is a nice badass truck... 50 miles later (tonight) I’m out for a drive with my wife and I have the window down and I start to hear what sounds like an exhaust leak while I’m driving. I think to myself that’s a new noise... then we stop at the store, my wife goes in and I stay back to let the truck idle. Oh crap, that’s a lifter not an exhaust leak and no it’s not an injector. I’ve owned this truck since new 11 months ago. I Special ordered it from the factory and waited 3.5 months to get it. I know every noise this thing makes. This is new... it kept getting louder as I drove it. i can tell by the rpm it’s a lifter. Drivers side rear of the engine. on the way home it started hesitating and felt like it’s misfiring especially when I was light on the throttle. I limped home, no idiot lights Came on yet. Calling dealer in the morning. Going to really let Chevy have it on this one. I’ll see what they say but if it’s rockers or a lifter or bent push rod I’m going to insist on a new engine. I literally checked every box when I ordered this truck, it has performance exhaust and brembo brakes. It’s a 75k+ truck that sounds like a giant POS... I’ll keep the group posted on what Chevy says.
