Ok that sounds doable. but what about the Knock Sensor? I was told it cant happen because of a knock sensor. I bought the 96 because I was told it would be an easy swap. Im running out of money and patience. I appreciate your knowledge. You sound like the first scenario that is honest so far.

Can someone please tell me the facts on this. I have a 1993 GMC 1500 4x4 automatic and a 1996 Chevy 1500 4x4 manual trucks. I have a loud knock in my 93 engine and want to swap the 96 chevy to the 93 GMC, Can it be done? Are there any obstacles? I have been told "no problem", then " not gonna happen". I am ready to scream. This is my only vehicle. I am unemployed at the moment and need my truck running so that i can get back to work. I am going crazy being stuck at home every day and need better income than this damn unemployment has to offer. Can someone please please enlighten me.
