There are a few good tutorials on YouTube that cover how to sign up and configure your PC, etc. You could also ask your dealership to update the radio software to the latest version.

I had the same issue. Traffic information would not show on the maps after activation with OBD Genie. I upgraded my radio software (manually through a USB thumb drive) and traffic now works. I had noticed that my radio wasn't picking up the over-the-air update. I had to use TIS2WEB to download the updated software to a USB stick and do a manual update.
