Hey all - I've had a 2013 Sierra 1500 for several years and love it - lurked here on many occasions.
A few years ago I put in Sylvania LED replacements since water in the housing kept blowing conventional bulbs. Well, last week one quit working due to water getting into the connection. My buddy at O'Reillys recommended I order a set from headlightexperts.com, so I did. Site says they use Phillips Lumiled ZES LED bulbs. The instructions said to make sure the LEDs (on either side of a blade-shaped board) were facing 9 and 3 for the best light pattern. I know you can adjust the orientation of some replacement LEDs with an allen wrench or just by hand, but when I called to ask how to adjust these they told me "there are only 3 ways those bulbs will fit in, pick the best one." Ok great.....thx.....
So both driver and passenger sides are canted a little toward the drivers' side. Here's the driver's side one:
Passenger:
And here's the light pattern. Not surprisingly, the pattern is "canted" just a little, just like the bulbs. Unfortunately that puts a pretty good bit of light from the driver's bulb angled up right in the eyes of oncoming traffic, which I'm not crazy about.
Anybody have any experience getting something like this to line up? Are we just stuck with the most horizontal of three options?
Sure appreciate any input! Hopefully somebody else has dealt with this before.
