Hi, I purchased a 2021 Silverado in White and also noticed how easily their paint Chips. I looked a several one and 2 year old trucks when I was looking to purchase mine and noticed that all seem to chip Very Easily(Especially in White). I looked at a several Silverados with the painted front Bumpers and almost all of them had excessive chipping. Two of the Silverados I looked at looked as if they had been shot with a shotgun full of birdshot (well over a hundred chips). If I am Correct,General Motors now uses Water Based Paint and I must say I am not Impressed ! It appears that the paint does not bind to the primer very well at all. Nobody wants their New truck Full of Paint Chips. I would think that GM is aware of this but would probably never admit it!
