I was successful. on my 2024 GMC 3500, Pin#1 (was empty) of the X1 Connector is a black connector. When seated in the drivers seat, it's the last connector on the left... closest to the firewall. It's not easy to get out, or re-insert... but you only need do it once. As soon as you put the wire into Pin#1 and push the connector back into the slot you'll see the door sill plate illuminate.

Hello, I've installed part# 85527846 into my truck door sills but without instructions, I'm not sure how to plug in the single grey wire. I searched this forum before posting and I found an old post regarding 2022 1500 (see below). Should I use these same instructions (pin#1 in black plug furthest from seat) for my 2024 3500?
