  1. That seems like it could be my issue then. what kind of issues are we talking about with the other brands? I just got back from driving the truck and it is spark knocking, and feels like its down on half of its power but no CEL and I dont hear or feel a misfire. Surprising a different brand of plugs could cause that?
  2. I quickly sprayed MAF cleaner in around the throttle body when I had intake off. No changes. No codes unfortunately.
  3. Hi all I am at a loss with whats going on and could use some help. After dealing with sputtering under load I finally went ahead and replaced all 8 coils with new NGK coils, new GM wires & Boshe plugs. Also replaced my PCV valve while I was in there because I cracked it when doing lifters a couple weeks ago. Started truck up after doing this work and the truck ran perfect. My issues were fixed. Brought it home to change out my wheels and reinstall passenger side fender liner and now when I start the truck back up it will idle up and down between 350-1000 rpm then it will eventually die. I went back and checked all the connections, cleaned the MAF, Sprayed MAF cleaner while running to check for a vacuum leak. I was not able to find anything wrong. I cannot understand how I parked it running perfectly and now I cant even drive it. Any help is much apricated EDIT - When I rev the motor it runs very well I do not feel any miss fires and the motor is not throwing any codes
  4. Thank you, I have had a misfire code come up a couple of times but nothing other than that. I do have a live scanner (Scanguage) that I can use for this information. I did not notice anything unusual other than what seemed like a pretty broad range of fuel pressure between 40-80 if I remember correctly.
  5. Looking for some advise on what to try next to fix an unknown issue with my 2015 Sierra. 190k Miles L83. New transmission at 140k. A couple months ago I had a studder while the engine was put underload at low RPM in high gears. Mostly only noticeable with highway driving. Feels like the ignition kicks out for a split second truck jerks hard then I have to let out of it and downshift to high RPM where engine is not under as much load. The issue has been slowly getting worse and happening at less and less load. I can hear an audible breakup coming from the engine bay and exhaust notes. I started small and replaced plugs and wires, ran a can of seafoam through a 1/4 of a tank, ran seafoam in oil for 30 minutes at idle, then did an oil change with a quart of marvel and ran that for another 30 in hopes to clear a possible stuck DOD lifter. All with no changes. I reached out to a GM tech who told me its likely a stuck DOD lifter so I went ahead and replaced all the lifters and cleaned up in carbon on the injectors while I was in there. Still not changes. I am thinking the only logical next step is to replace the coils because it sounds like a ignition issue. But before I go throwing more money at this I would like to see if anyone has any other input. Thanks in advance!
  6. Thanks Cam, I did plugs, wires, and all new lifters/top end gaskets. Truck has 190k on the original coils. I figure theres not much else that would cause the truck to breakup under load than a weak coil.
  7. I am looking for a replacement set of ignition coils, plug wires & spark plugs for my 2015 Sierra 1500 thats not running right. I want to stick with a reputable brand since this is my daily and I drive long distances for work. I noticed there are sets of AC Delco coils and wires on ebay for substantially lower than any other sites. Has anyone had experience with buying these from ebay? Link for reference. https://www.ebay.com/itm/186165612223?fits=Year%3A2015|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A5.3L|Trim%3ASLT+Crew+Cab+Pickup+4-Door|Model%3ASierra+1500|Make%3AGMC|Submodel%3ASLT|Engine%3A5.3L+5328CC+325Cu.+In.+V8+GAS+OHV+Naturally+Aspirated|Submodel%3ASLT|Engine%3A5.3L+5328CC+325Cu.+In.+V8+GAS+OHV+Naturally+Aspirated&hash=item2b5855cebf:g:GSkAAOSw~45lbXRP&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAABIArbGDzRB1dwKTYvpuqnt4NKIklrF6i66kZtdJ82Zp7WLckbzhOaj%2BYpWpaaujilkvx2L6zR5ReawZebimMu%2FF4HDDNhJkbPUl90OAXd%2FBkI6R94f0n4ZVBlGddanPqtZoZ2O0vCRomSlzEdj2%2F6tNoreAiO3wCYnAOHs%2Byxr4WCnWLI2jsQUcOvnjJGySwMkQaMukOsojZf0gJD5lEcMXGAhfh3xJnfSDzShLMlUhIUHNMryEJoHJXzowVdsAI5Fy3V1RznON%2FwvAQsUJ770r4E85hN2v3kIJI9RBw8MZZsadEvjyDhqinkyqwYib%2BySKFRQD8aPDMdED1Wm5c%2B8dxD3SW3Hgd2GP3ydbaNWke%2BFCTMoj6vjpmuoOC2j%2BsYUQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7bm8e-PYw
  8. Thank you! Just bought their kit. Exactly what I was looking for and the pricing seems fair considering these replacement DOD lifters are pretty costly.
  9. So I can replace with a DOD delete kit without replacing the cam? I dont see that as an option on that site?
  10. I have a 2015 GMC with a collapsed lifter. The DOD has not been deleted and to keep the repair reasonably cheap and quick I am looking to replace the entire set of lifters only. I am not interested in swapping cam and doing AFM/DOD delete kit at this time. It seems like most of the parts I am finding online are geared toward using the AFM/DOD kit and standard lifters. I am having a hard time finding a reputilble brand that carried the DOD style lifter kit that is compatible with the 2015 L83 LT motor. Can someone please recommend a brand that sells the set im looking for?
