For reference, I am talking about the Aux port seen in this photo with CarPlay capability. Thank you.

For 2018 GMC Sierra with center console, I have seen lots of YouTube videos and blogs on how to access under the center console. I have also seen lots of posts on how to access and replace USB/Aux port for Sierras with bench seat, but nothing on how to access and replace USB/Aux port with CarPlay on 2018 Sierra with port located in the center console. My port works intermittently, and I want to replace it. I have seen how to take cupholder and trim section off (my 2018 has non-removable cup holder), but want to know how to access the Aux port before doing so. I can't tell or confirm that I will be able to remove the Aux port by simply lifting up the cupholder section/trim, starting with the top inside edge of the center console. Has anyone done this before? Any confirmation that this Aux port can be accessed by removing the cup holder section of the center console? Pics would be awesome. Thank you!
