    right. My thoughts were also that it still sends output to the plug therefore it should still display that it’s sending the signal and at what interval of the set gain. Nothing in the owners manual about it.

    I have a 2014 Silverado with the stock brake controller next to the steering on the dash. When you apply/engage the toggle switch should the amount of output be displayed on the dash regardless of the truck being attached to a trailer?
