2017 Silverado 5.3 LT Z71 4x4 113,000miles
Hello, I was driving home a little bit ago from a nearby place. It’s only about 3 miles away and a straight shot there and back. While I was driving I noticed my rpm needle bouncing and the truck kind of pulsing in power. I thought this seemed really weird and rolled down my windows and heard a faint noise I haven’t heard before. I pulled over even though I was only about a mile away from home and shut the truck off for a bit and started it back up. The noise continued although it was pretty faint and I decided to just shoot the rest of the way home. When I got home, I crawled underneath and heard the noise slowly get worse over the span of 5 mins. I can hear it the strongest around the oil pan/ transmission pan area but I have no clue what it could be. It kind of sounds like a clicky whine that’s really loud. The noise happens when in park so I’m thinking it’s not the transmission but I could be wrong. I just bought the truck about a month ago and I hope I didn’t get screwed. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out how to diagnose it or help me figure it out in general. Thanks
I have attached some links to a YouTube channel that should have the sound and video of where it appears to be.
