Hello from the island of Phuket in SW Thailand. Your post regarding the removal of the fixed glass window in the cab of your truck and the forward facing window of the Canopy, is this first I’ve seen. I have just purchased a Toyota PreRunner Space Cab (I think they call them Tacoma’s in the USA) with the intent of joining the front and the back, so that my 2 Golden Retrievers won’t feel locked in the back canopy. I’m planning to initially remove the windows and cover the sharp steel edges of the cab & canopy with a Teak Window / Door “Frame”. A heavy duty rubber gasket will be used to seal the gap (360 deg) keeping out the rainwater and exhaust fumes. The Canopy will be lined with Marine Grade Closed Cell Foam insulation and covered over with a Teak headliner, much like you would find on a yacht/sailboat. A wood plank floor and side benches will also be constructed. Here in Thailand they also offer Ceiling mounted Air-Conditioning Units for the rear canopy.
