I am concerned about the nut and bolt on the passenger side that looks like it goes through the shaft I am thinking the is might be spring loaded to assist with the auto close I have removed my 2022 gate and I don't remember that bolt and nut on the passenger side

Hello and good morning I have a question about my 2024 2500HD I have a tailgate light strip that goes between the bumper and the tailgate my truck has the automatic down and automatic up feature on the passenger side there is a bolt that goes through where you raise the to to 35 or 45 degrees to lift it out of the cradle I have removed the gates off of my 2019 and 2022hd is there any difference with this automatic gate that my other trucks did not have Thank You for any information Buddy Tweed
