disappointed Duramax

I just purchased a brand new Silverado 3500 that I ordered. I've already had some issues with this thing as far as a leak and a couple other things that I won't get into here The main reason I'm posting here is to ask about corrosion and rust. This thing has rust all over the underneath of this truck not just a little service for us but I'm talking rough rust. It's on the tie rods it's on the rear u joint it's on the differential up top several other components on the frame etc etc when you look under this truck it does not look like a new truck in any way shape or form. Now when I compare that to my 17-year-old avalanche, it shows nothing no rust no corrosion anywhere. I feel like something is very wrong here but I don't know how to take action. I posted this topic on the Duramax forum as well where I was able to post pictures. I'm considering leap seeking legal counsel at this point but I'm looking for professional opinions to see if I'm overreacting. Ideas?
