Hello all. I dealt with a dash rattle for months and ripped almost the entire thing apart with no luck. I searched along the firewall in the engine compartment as some others suggested and FINALLY located the source. There was a vertical bracket near the battery. The 13 mm nut and washer were loose I tightened them and problem solved. It is amazing the sound resonates into the dash like that. Hope this helps others.
