Hey guys. Im new to the forum but I've been doing research on this for days.
Im wondering if I have a bad ground somewhere? Despite checking them all they seem fine.
The back story.
Bought a used 01 gmc 2500 with a blown motor. Replaced it with new gaskets and everything. Has new sensors such as oil pressure, cam position, iac, tps, egr valve.
It was having a very low idle which I resolved with the parts mentioned and a TB cleaning.
Idles between 550 and 600 when warm in park.
I can't seem to get my TC to lock up after 4th.
Trans fluid was low when purchased. 3 quarts was needed and its still just a touch dark.
Seems to shift okay otherwise. Gives a little 4th gear flare sometimes.
I've got these 2 codes after fixing a lot of stuff.
P0741 and P0719
I have replaced the brake light switch with new. Also tested it out with the one from my working 01 silverado. It doesn't change anything.
I've also got some ABS issues and BCM issues.
Codes:
C0241, C0246, C0265, C0237, C0251, C0251,
C0281, C0236, C0225
It suggests replacing ABS hydraulic control assembly and electrical ground repair.
A little at a loss right now. The one thing I can think of is the grounds from the main engine harness are currently grounded to the bellhousing bolts. Is that the issue. Instead of directly to the block itself?
New BCM? Soldering reflow work on it?
Any direction or insight is highly appreciated
