hmi module fuse
José Daniel Gonzalez posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraSo I’ve had this issue with the screen displaying “waiting for media update” on it. I can’t control the radio with the screen or controls.. I can only with control the radio with the steering wheel and the back up camera still comes on when in reverse but I tried everything I disconnected the battery for long time and saw a lot of different videos and posts and nothing worked. Finally took it to the dealership and paid 165 for the diagnostics and turns out it’s the HMI module but they don’t know exactly what is wrong with it so they wanted to replace it for 950 on top of the 165 so I said pass. Do it my self but this link https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10139097-9999.pdf Says to cycle the power by disconnecting the hmi fuse but don’t know where that’s at! Anyone know ??? Help
Back Up Camera cana GM be installed ?
Terry Erdmann posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraI have a 2017 Chevy 2500 series Work Truck and has a nice screen for phone, stereo etc.. but no back up camera. I recently crunched the box and now have to get a new one and a bumper--and I see that I can get a new box and bumper one for my year with the back up camera items in the tailgate and box and or bumper. So I am wondering if it is possible to do this on a CHevy Work Truck when it did not have it installed orginally in the sytem? Looking for ideas and help? Thanks Terry
I understand there are lots of tire threads on here as I have been through most of them on this forum, I am simply looking for anybody who might be running 285/65/18 Cooper Discoverer XLT's on a non leveled completely stock 14-18 Silverado? The tire size is only slightly bigger than what would be on the 285/45/22 option Chevy offers in these years so I am just looking to see if there is anyone out there who can confirm this setup would work. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
Hello everyone new to the community and new to Chevy trucks. I'm looking to purchase my first Silverado in the near future but after researching the current gen Silverados I keep seeing how afwul afm is in these trucks and how in extreme cases it can lead to engine failure. Can someone explain to me exactly what what the problems are that owners are seeing with this technology and my big question is, have a lot of the issues been worked out or even resolved in the 2017-2018 models? Are the problems with afm severe enough to not make it not worth getting a new Silverado? All the bad things I am reading are really pushing me away from buying one . Any and all information is welcome ! Thanks guys !
