My son bought a 2017 Silverware and wanted a set of lighted step Inserts for a gift. We bought them for him and trying to wire them. They have led lights for running, reverse and braking. Before I cut into wiring harness I see three wires to each of the tail light bulbs. the wire colors don't match the step lights wiring. Does any one have an idea of what to splice ?

I have a 2015 3500 HD 4x4. Today I pulled the cover on the fuse panel on the driver's side dash to look for the fuse that I could move to make my 12V plugs in the center dash switched power instead of retained power. When I got the panel off, the diagram plastered on the inside of the panel did not look anything like the fuse panel in my truck. Nor did the diagram in my owner's manual look anything like the actual fuse panel. . I did find the fuse that I needed to move to get switched power but it was nowhere near the location shown on the diagrams. Luckily it was the only 50 amp fuse on the panel and was easily recognizable because it had the spare lug where you could move the fuse from center lug to bottom lug to center lug to top lug. Just curious why my numbered fuse panel diagrams are totally different from the actual fuse panel and am I the only one.

5LM60, HM290, Getrag HELP
Benfromsac posted a topic in 1988-1999 Chevrolet & GMC C/K GMT400 Platform
I've just recently purchased a 1989 GMC Sierra K2500 LB to replace my 1988 K1500 SB that started losing gears one by one. 2 months later, the tranny in the newer truck lost reverse. I can't afford to buy a 3rd truck so I have to repair it myself. Well, like most guys with these transmissions, I went thru hell trying to identify exactly which tranny I have. I'm 99% sure I have the 5LM60. My problem is that I've got the tranny almost fully taken apart, but I can't seem to remove the gear clusters out of the case and I can't find any info on it online to help me disassemble it. The diagrams for "Getrag 290" or "HM290" show slightly different internals so I'm stuck. Can someone please help me figure out how to pull the main shaft from the rear half of the case so i can replace the shattered syncro on the 5th gear/reverse rail? If someone could post photos of a few pages from a factory manual or similar, that would be awesome! Let me know if you need more info from me. Thank you in advance. -
I'm installing a line out covertor for an amp in my 2016 Silverado WT. it does not have the BOSE system. I need to know what color the speaker wires are behind the radio and which plug they are on. I have looked every where for a diagram but I can not find one.

I am looking for the wiring diagram for the front speakers on a NON-Bose System. Not just the color code but the wires and where do they go. Specifically the front door and the front dash how do they connect? Does it go through a crossover? I have looked all over and can't find this. Thanks for any help.

I replaced the Bose OEM radio deck (Delphi) with aftermarket D-Din deck (Pyle PLDNV695). I wired it all without all pricey harness adapters. Everything works great the way it is wired now but, I was not able to find the wiring schematic to wire the stock steering wheel audio controls to the at aftermarket DDin which has the hook ups for it and can also program it. Please help!! P.s.: I have already had extreme success with adding aftermarket amp and sub, wiring aftermarket D-Din radio (using the Bose stock speakers), and bypassing Bose amp with no harness adapters for under 30$. If anyone has any questions about any of those topics I'd be happy to help so you don't have go through all the research I had to do. I'll save you a hellish headache!

Here's a link to a tidbit of basic tech for aiming aftermarket fog and/or driving lights. You can click on the image to see the drawing really well, too. As we all know, factory "fog" lights are more cosmetic than functional!: http://www.propickupmag.com/aiming-fogdriving-lights/
