I have a 2016 LS Tahoe patrol rig and the factory center console has been replaced with a Troy Products console. They did not add the USB media hub and I am trying to figure out how to install one so I can plug in my iPhone for music. I ordered a harness and hub off eBay but cannot figure out where to install it or if it is even what I need. There is a USB connector under the passenger seat but I can not find the correct cable/harness to run it to the USB hub. The top connectors are what is installed, the bottom is the harness I bought. Any help on what I actually need would be appreciated.

I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT that I just bought and I am looking to hookup an after market subwoofer and amp but I like the stock dash look so I don't want to replace the stock radio (which would make this process a lot easier). Would I just replace the stock sub and amp and splice into the current wires? Could I keep the stock sub and amp also while connecting new sub and amp? Does the stock radio have RCA connectors in the back that I can connect too? In a perfect world I would be able to add a new sub and amp without replacing the stock sub and amp and still have a high quality sound system without using RCA plugs since I do not think they come on the back of the stock radio.

So last night, on my way home, my stock stereo worked as advertised, with the exception of not continuing from the playlist that I was listening to on my way to work. Started heading to work, this afternoon, stereo booted up right where I had left it last night, EXCEPT it was NOT playing. Tried pressing the play arrow, skipping back to the beginning/end of the song, thumbed through the media options ("iPod," "My Media Library," back to "Chris' Music" [my thumb drive], etc), still nothing. It didn't start playing until I switched it to "RADIO," and back to "MEDIA." My other radio related issues have been it randomly rebooting after I had its memory reflashed for backup camera brightness issue, and the rare times where the skips would NOT work (steering wheel NOR on the touch screen on the radio). Has not randomly rebooted since my last service visit, when I said something to my service rep. They may have fixed that, while they were doing my oil and all.

This week marks the official start of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado introduction to the national automotive media. Various media/newsprint/tv/online outlets will visit a Chevy hosted event in Wyoming. Written reviews and driving impressions of any time are embargoed until next Monday, August 13th. As these third party reviews, videos, and photos roll out, let's try to collect as many as we can in this thread. Hopefully this will give prospective buyers and 2019 shoppers a place to check out the independent reviews in one spot. The Rules Only on topic discussion will be allowed. Duplicate links will be removed Please try to provide any substantial quotes or conclusions from the article. Give us a summary! Don't forget a direct link to the content. If not embedded, posts with youtube videos may be edited so they are watchable in thread.

Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 7/18/2018 GM-Trucks.com can confirm that Chevrolet is sending out media invitations for a next generation 2019 Silverado first drive program that will take place in just a few weeks. Scheduled during the second week of August, the invite only program will give selected national journalists and automotive media a first chance to get behind the wheel of the all new pickup in the mountains of Wyoming. That's good news for anyone interested in a third party opinion about the all new Silverado and undoubtedly the beginning of a media onslaught of 2019 Silverado and Sierra content. We can't wait! We're finalizing our plans to attend the event ourselves and very much looking forward to seeing how the new Silverado matches our expectations. Especially since our long term 2019 Silverado LTZ should arrive just a few weeks after we get back.

Gents, I searched for this and couldn't find anything. But does anybody else have any issues with losing favorites on in their truck? I have a USB drive in the USB port in the console, with a bunch of music for me and some for my kids. But every so often, the favorites from the USB drive just disappear. The USB is still plugged and powered and working, but the favorites disappear. It seems to happen more often if I'd been listening to something off the drive, and shut off/restart the truck. But certainly not every time I shut the truck off. They never come back on their own, I just have to manually re-add them. I hate to be one of those guys who say this, but a >$50K vehicle shouldn't have this type of thing happen. I'm hoping it's operator error and I can fix it.
