  2. Apologies if posted before, I searched and found nothing. I updated my phone recently and noticed something very interesting. I did a console swap for my truck, and confirmed it had the early model wireless charging. I was testing the fit of my new S10E, with and without case, on the console to see if it would rest nicely when it started to charge wirelessly. I haven't done a full set of tests to see how fast, to what percent, location, rubber orientation, etc. So if anyone wants to feel free; but I did want to pass this along for those who have yet to upgrade and might have this phone.
  3. I have a 2018 center console armrest with wireless charging part number 84330208. My parts guy at the Caddy Dealership wasn't paying attention when ordering my console to note that some consoles come with the armrest and some don't. Well he ordered me the console with the armrest and the armrest separate. Since I special order purchased Chevy truck parts from a Caddy dealer I was unable to make a return with out a ridiculous restocking fee. It has never been installed, only removed from the box to take pictures. List price for it is $451.17, Im asking what I paid for it which is $260 plus $15 to ship in the lower 48.
  4. Anyone know of a compatible charging case for the iPhone 7 Plus to work on the charging pad? All I can find are cases for iPhone 6S and older models. Thanks for any help ahead of time!
  5. Hey guys, I picked up my 2015 Silverado CC LT Z71 a few weeks ago, and I love it. One of the first mods I did was to add a wireless charger to the tray on the folded middle front seat. With a triple-coil DIY Qi charger element and a direct wire to micro-USB converter from Amazon and some hot glue, it was a piece of cake. Pop the plastic cover off the bottom of the lid, remove the four screws that hold in the tray, and lift the tray off. Grind the standoffs off and smooth it out with sandpaper. I opted to cut the fabric square out from underneath the tray and hot glue the edges in place. I tapped into the 12v power point in the console for power, and completely concealed the wire. Bring the wire into the opening, plug it into the Qi charger, and do a test-run to make sure your phone charges. It took me a few tries to get the positioning just right. After you're sure about the positioning, hot glue the Qi charger and cords in place, close it all up, and you're good to go! I'm enjoying having wireless charging in my truck, all for $25 of parts from Amazon. I can't figure out the images on this site - pictures of the install are on a Google Photo album - https://goo.gl/photos/X2iA3xF9aygZfiqP7
  6. Does anybody know if it's possible to upgrade the middle armrest to the one that has wireless charging? I saw the part online but I'm not sure if it would work since my truck does not already have wireless charging. http://www.gmpartsdirect.co/chevrolet/silverado-1500/23450838/2016-year/lt-trim/5-3l-v8-gas-engine/body-cat/center-console-scat/?part_name=armrest-assy
